From an historian with a bit of political experience......
https://spectator.org/the-1...-the-left-took-over/
The series is several essays, I need to find time to read the rest of them.
Some of you may find this interesting. Some of you will prejudge and scoff incoherently. Some of you will post asinine comments.
Have at it.

Interesting read. I may have to go back and read them all.

Really? Give it a rest.
Be sure to thank LBJ for getting us into 'Nam with conviction. (Kennedy wanted us out. One of the main reasons he was killed.) Not to mention the "great society" clusterfest - although I'm pretty sure you're just fine with it.
Nixon started the withdrawals. Ford finished them, sloppy as it was.

Ray doesn't understand. He just continues to repeat things he read on a poster back in 1967.
The election of LBJ was the turning point. That was the beginning of the end.
Nixon's fatal flaw was his ego.
