DeSantis drops out of GOP primary, endorses Trump for 2024

quote
“It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” the governor continued. “While I have had disagreements with Donald Trump such as on the coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent Joe Biden. That is clear.”

Raise your hand if you are surprised.

Who will be Trump's VP, when (not if) he is reelected?

I don't think it will be Nikki Haley and he can't have Kari Lake, we ain't done with her. I think his pick will be as much of a surprise as Sarah Palin was in 2008.

I believe Stefanik is a real possibliity although I think Governor Haley to be a better choice. I guess we'll see..............
Mrs Lake will hopefully be the next AZ senator.

I suspect that Trump will probably pick someone who balances him out. Someone who will be loyal, but also more soft-spoken. I would half-expect him to pick someone like Ben Carson.

I'm glad that DeSantis dropped out. I like DeSantis a lot... but I hate to see him get tarnished, and he needs to finish his job here in Florida.

Loyal? Hmm, that brings up the question to the Constitution or the man........................

I imagine that Trump's closest circle wants him to pick someone that he hasn't vigorously "trashed" with public insults in recent years, and after exhausting all the obvious possibilities, they're looking for someone who's been living off the grid, and has no driver's license.

Hah... what I mean is, someone who's going to carry his water, so to speak. Someone who will maintain his goals and not try to outshine him. Think Obama with Hillary as vice president. Imagine how that would work... Trump doesn't want something like that. Pence was a good pick... he appealed to the more Conservative side (both socially and fiscally) of the Republican party to Trump (who pulled in a lot of Democrats and moderates). Ben Carson would be that guy... attracting more even-keeled Republicans who maybe are offended by Trump's rhetoric, and are more conservative.

Just a thought... but who knows. Ben may not even want it.

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a good probability. Not only because she recently endorsed the Donald for President.

Another possibility I hadn't considered.

A friend suggested Carey Lake from AZ, I personally don't think DJT would consider her, she's pretty outspoken. (And Better Looking!)
