I really like Hillsdale College, as well as Prager U, etc. The only problem I have is the length of these videos. I enjoy watching these personally, but for people who are naturally resistant to information like this, they are absolutely not going to sit through a 1 hour lecture. For people like Ray, Patrick, etc... you need something that's 4-5 minutes and in a manner that exposes them to facts before they can quickly turn it off or shield themselves from a reality they don't want to be exposed to.

That is their problem.

This is why olejoedad rates a "zero" when it comes to demonstrating any of the savvy and skills that make for effective essayists, TV presenters and classroom educators.

This is just the "butt end" of a car enthusiast's forum, so it can't be taken that seriously. In this sense, we're like 10 to 15-year-olds with our debates—playing at flag football in backyards, after the school day, and imagining that we're the Kansas City Chiefs or the Michigan Wolverines.

But olejoedad can't even fake it.

He doesn't understand the word "audience."

This is where you are wrong. This used to be a place where friends with common interests could share ideas, but you and a few others decided to turn it into a competition between warring factions. Your junior high debate squad has taken all of the fun out of what used to be the "corner tavern".

There are people with vastly varied backgrounds who all come together because we share one common interest. We all have different levels of experience and education and for various reasons, some of us cannot share everything we know. But each of us has equal value. You need to recognize and respect those who you seem to see as beneath your social class. A very long time ago, I learned that everyone has something to teach us. You still have some learning to do.

Well said Willie.

And FYI rinse, I'm just here to piss you off by posting things that go counter to your libtard bullshit!t.

I couldn't care less about your....anything.

Such a chickenshit move... stating that you'll ignore my posts (which is fine by me), yet continuing to bring my name up in threads that I've had no involvement with.

Just so you know, Fred... for future posts. If I see intentionally retarded posts like this one, I will ignore them. I've started doing this to Patrick, and now I'm doing it to you.

Rinselberg has fun with his posts. I don’t think he’s ever really shown disrespect for anyone’s background. Not to the levels that folks like Randye, Wichita, MEM, or Ray B have expressed. Interestingly, Randye, Wichita, and MEM only get feedback from the same few folks. The reason is due to politics, not how they treat one another. If you meant this comment in earnest, you’d make it about Randye 20x more than Rinselberg.

I am actually pretty right leaning, at least I am economically. The reason I argue so much on one “side” here is because this forum lacks balance. It’s really rich to hear a user like Rinselberg needs to learn more respect for others without ever hearing a similar rebuke to far more abusive users.

Oh yeah, it was just terrific when the good ol' boys had almost complete dominance over anything remotely political in O/T. So many decent folk simply left the forum due to the bullying that had occurred here for years. Now that there are rules in place to prevent the worst of the bullying, it's not as much "fun" for the good ol' boys anymore. Too bad, so sad.
