Latest information now in, Florida now has nearly 900,000 more registered Republicans than registered Democrats. Democrat party has lost voters, Republican party has gained voters, and "No Party Affiliation" has gained voters.
I remember when I first moved to Florida in 1996... I liked the state, but the place was a dump. Everything was filthy, you couldn't drive down most roads. They'd even closed off many roads so that neighborhoods only had 1 in and out so police could curb drive-by violence. The Everglades was a total mess, an environmental disaster. We even had the Southern KKK headquarters here. Democrats ruled the state for over 150 years, with a short stint that it went Republican from 1868 to 1874 after the Civil War, and then again for 1 term in 1987 after a Democrat scandal.
In the past 25 years, the Republican party has slowly turned Florida Republican. As of right now, EVERY state publicly held seat is Republican. The Agriculture Secretary, the Treasurer, the Attorney General, you name it.
Both Federal Senators from Florida are now Republican 21 of the 28 Congressional seats are now Republican, and with the new electorate map going into effect, several of these are expected to flip Republican.
And locally, Florida has a Super Majority, with many of these local senate and house seats likely to flip Republican even further.
It's amazing to have been witness to this, and be able to show that Florida has actually improved. Wish I could say the same about California... but it's only gotten worse in it's transition from Republican to Democrat-led.

SO VERY VERY proud he is of the russian connection and his tax dodges and frauds self destruction or stroke or crazy enough to see if he really could get away with a random shooting or some judge orders him in CON-TEMPT OF COURT OR THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT GETS HIM FOR TREASON
THERE IS HOPE
BUT why the support for regression at best stark raving religious fruitcakes at the worst
other then inflicting the warped values of long ago on people who do not need or want them AND NO GAIN IN IT FOR ANYONE ?
JUST WHY SO MEAN AND NASTY ? WHY MUST GAYS BE BASHED PUBLICLY ? WOMEN TOLD THEY DO NOT REALLY HAVE RIGHTS ? WHY CAN'T THE RWNJ JUST TRY TO GET ALONG ?

Nebraska just had a Democrat Senator flip to Republican because he said the Democrats were being ruthless towards him because he supports life, rather than any-time abortion. They're being super nice to him now, saying they enjoyed working with him and they hope to continue to do so, etc... because it gives Republicans a super-majority now. There's a bill stalled in the Nebraska Senate that's supposed to return Nebraska to a "winner take all" Electoral College vote state.
Generally, Nebraska splits its votes, which led to Biden getting one of the electoral votes in 2020. Mike McDaniel (who switched parties) indicated that he'd be willing to vote for the bill, which means Nebraska would return to a "winner takes all" state, and Trump (who got 3 of the 4 last election), will get all 4 electoral votes in 2024.

OK Todd,
Slow down on the bad news for raybies.
You're going to make his ghost writer charge him overtime for translating his rants.[This message has been edited by randye (edited 04-08-2024).]

THE RUMP MAY NOT LAST
the facts are not looking good short or long term
he will fall or fail health or legal or mental ability
exactly what and when is a open question I bet he has a stroke over a court ruling on a minor point
btw the stock scam is looking worse as the price drops and the crooks who invested are called in to courts also btw rules on stock forbid lying about a stock's financials as he was doing today some one should tell him that !

Hah... despite all the bad things going on in the country right now... it's making people wake up, which is important. And as a result, more positive things are happening. I'll never understand HOW Joe Biden could allow himself to basically destroy the country by intentionally flooding it with poor / impoverished people. It's different when we take people in and provide them opportunity to work... but we don't have that kind of country anymore.
Today, we've raised the minimum wage so high that it's literally impossible for someone to get a job unless they have experience. We've literally created policies that are eliminating lower income work. I have to think this is intentional, to get everyone on welfare, and create a dependent class. And that's my next point... all these illegals immediately get government subsidies. It's leading to what will probably the worst long-term economic disaster we've ever had in this country due to our insurmountable debt. It sounds horrible, but we literally have to cut welfare entitlements. There is no reason why we should be paying SNAP, TANF, Cell Phone program, and healthcare for these illegals.

It's understandable when you realize that Joe Biden isn't running anything.
He's a potted plant.
It becomes even more understandable when you realize that over 70% of the WH staff are Obama administration "alumni".
Then there are the "advisors" that are also Obama "alumni" that aren't officially on WH staff.
HOPE & CHANGE
HOPE is not a plan
Any idiot can CHANGE things......but making things better is much, much harder.

When adjusted for inflation the minimum wage today is lower than it has been in 50 years. The $1.60 minimum wage from 1970 is equal to over $12.00 today.

I seriously doubt that considering that every President/party that destroys the economy gets voted out of office.

It's kind of funny when he seems to have brief moments of clarity and gets mad at his staff for not allowing him to do certain things. Can you imagine what that must be like? You are totally right though. As bad of a politician (and two-faced) as he is... he's definitely not the one calling the shots right now.
