If you read that article very carefully you will see that there is not way that rank voting systems can hurt Republicans more than Deemocrats.
Rank order voting helps third parties. The guy who wrote this article can gin not up enough fear by ranting against third parties so he plays on his readers fear of Democrats. But basically what he is wanting to preserve is the two-part system we have locked in right now.

I've not read too much into the specifics... and I think it depends exactly how it's implemented also. But from my perspective, every placee that ranked choice voting has been used, it always results in the more left-leaning candidate winning... even though the initial "winner" of the first round would have been a Republican (almsot every time), and this is what frustrates me. I can see no benefit... and I don't see any way that this makes it more "Democratic." What it's doing, in my opinion, is that it's giving the less popular vote a better chance because more people are likely to "settle" for that individual, rather than their first choice. This is not Democratic... it's mathematically the lowest common denominator.

I know your side lies about almost everything
and the two non=post washington very small DC papers are known to lie

the other was a shopping free rag that no longer is printed
