quote | Christians get out and vote; just this time! You won’t have to do it anymore! Four more years, you know what? It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore my beautiful Christians. I love you Christians, I’m a Christian. I love you, get out, you’ve gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not gonna have to vote. |

This is indefensible.
Clip of quote.
Full speech:
Quote is at 54 minutes in.
How many times does he have to say it?

There are two ways to interpret this. The most forgiving to Trump is that he means he’s going to “fix” how elections are currently rigged (as he’s claimed, without evidence). But then why say you wouldn’t need to vote again? Very strange if that’s the interpretation. Frankly, it doesn’t make a lot of sense. I posted the entire video so you can see context before and after.
The other way to interpret this is that he’s going to “fix” elections to one party so voting isn’t necessary. This seems more likely what he means given other quotes from Trump:
quote | [China’s Xi] is now president for life. President for life. No, he's great, and look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot some day. |
|
Plus all of the many times he’s said at rallies that he will go for a third term.

He is not talking about how elections are run. He is talking about various other things such as the inappropriate sexual content exposure to children and erasing American history.
You only have to go 1-2 minutes before those statements to understand what the "it" is that he is referring to when he said, "It'll be fixed, it'll be fine."

So he’s saying you’ll never have to vote again for what reason? How do these things tie together?

It is not as complicated as you seem to think. He is talking to active Christians who do not like politics and do not regularly vote. Telling them he will fix the things they care about so well that they won't have to vote again is typical salesmanship.

To me, this is an extremely favorable interpretation of the words he used. From someone who said he’d be a dictator on day 1, who said we should try “President for life,” who said he wants to terminate the rules of the constitution… it’s a lot of favorable interpretations.

It does not take much interpretation. Listen to what he said, understand the context and his audience. This is basic communications.
You are adding your own context which was not what was said and is not how his audience understood what he said.

What he meant: "We really need everybody's help this time. Once we get this country back on track, you can relax."
