Why are you here? (Page 1/1)

Why do you post in P&R.

Some have recently stated that they are here to set us straight, to impart their wisdom, to call us out.

I am here for fun, amusement.

Sometimes I learn things.

Sometimes it's like watching Sideshow Bob.

Enlighten us.

This is what a Trump supporter looks like:

I was the forum anyway, and saw conversations here that struck my interest. I generally have 2 goals:
1. Strengthen my understanding of any given issue by interacting with actual people with different perspectives of my own, who might see something I've missed.
2. Provide some value in return by challenging other's views and providing a different, hopefully well-reasoned, alternative perspective, as well as point out potential shortcomings or weaknesses in their arguments.

As an aside, I've very much enjoyed my interactions with everyone, even when things are a little spicy. I find myself looking forward to you all's responses, especially when they're creative

I am fascinated by history and politics.

I have absolutely no idea, it's become a horrible place and I really do need to stop spending any time at all in this sub area.

It personally seems like O/T became a cess-pool when Trump got elected. Personally, I feel like Democrats just couldn't handle it, and conversation and discussion became pure vitriol. It's been like this since 2016, and part of the reason why P&R was separated out from O/T. We had disagreements, but it was never to the point where it is now...

I'm here to "attack America"... or so I've been told.

Another example of selective memory.
