is the right really "against democracy" (Page 1/10)
BingB AUG 20, 11:05 AM
I hear people on the right complain when they are accused of being "against democracy".

But I also hear people on the right claim that the reason we live in a Republic instead of a democracy is because democracy is a bad thing that the founding fathers found objectionable.

So is it really true that Republicans are against democracy? And if so, why do they complain when the democrats make this claim?

That is a really naive question. It is like asking if you are against oxidation because you don't want your car to rust.

You need to understand that democracy, like oxidation, has its place. Both are important parts of useful processes but both can have undesirable consequences.

But just to be clear. If someone said they wanted to make America "more democratic" you would oppose that, correct.

In fact you want to repeal the 17th Amendment. You support making the United States "less democratic", don't you?

Grow up.

Now run along and let the adults talk.

Jim, you are nothing but a troll.

I am an adult.

Adults don't run and hide when they can't answer a question.

You do not know the definition of "troll". A troll is a person that intentionally takes ridiculous positions on issues just to get a response from people who disagree.

My positions are logical and often supported by a majority of people in this country.

You can't just use the term "troll" to run away from a question you do not want to answer.

Haven't you said that you are in favor of repealing the 17th Amendment?

Some of my best times have come from trolling for rump.

You should try it. Maybe you would be a little less angry all the time.
