The Senate (Page 1/1)

The Presidential contest might get close, but things look good for republicans in the Senate. I saw a list that had the top 5 seats most likely to flip all going from Republican to Democrat.

1. West Virginia. Retiring Democrat /Independent Joe Manchin was an anomaly is deep red West Virginia.

2. Montana. Jon Tester is another rare Democrat from a red state. But this is the first time he will be on the ballot at the same time as Trump. Never had to deal with the draw of the top of the ballot.

3. Ohio. Sherrod Brown is in the same situation as Tetser, a democrat in a Trump state that has never ran when Trump was on the ballot. Trumps margin of victory in Ohio have been much smaller that in Montana, so Brown might be in a little better position. But still a big uphill battle.

4. Michigan. Democrat senator Debbie Stanebow is retiring. It is much harder to win an election for an empty seat than have an incumbent running. Tight race

5. Arizona. Another empty seat that used to be a Democrat incumbent. And Arizona is a border state where immigration will be a big issue.
