Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a letter warning Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and the Harris and Bexar county commissioners to not send voter registration applications to "unverified recipients."
quote | Ted Paxton Paxton insisted the counties' plan to pay third-party vendors to print and mail voter registration forms could lead to ineligible voters violating state law by attempting to register.
The Texas AG said the plan could lead to ineligible people, such as felons and noncitizens, to commit a crime by attempting to register to vote.
"It is unlawful and reckless for counties to use taxpayer dollars to indiscriminately send voter registration forms with no consideration of the recipient's eligibility and without any statuary authority to do so," Paxton said in a statement. "These counties' attempts to do so after the Biden-Harris Administration has allowed millions of illegal aliens to enter the country are especially troubling."
Paxton said if Bexar County votes to adopt the measure being considered on Tuesday, he will sue the county. He said he will also sue Harris County if it proceeds with a similar plan. |

Yep, TX and AZ have a lot of questionable registrations. I'm sure CA and NY do too, but the question will not be asked.

This has nothing to do with "stealing an election". It is an attempt to prevent people from getting in trouble for attempting to registre.
Texas requires an ID to vote so no one could "steal" any votes by falsley registering. All they could do would be get in trouble.

Oh, have you seen one which was sent to everyone in the County ?
It is not an attempt to keep people from getting fat by sending them cake.

Why should a third party vendor get $400,000 to send out voter registration forms ? Everybody gets a water bill. And an electric bill.

No one is surprised.
