Hey Guys, I just received my new Fiero GT badge from the fierostore.com. Was just about to mount it and realized the holes are completely wrong on my car. Did I order an incorrect part? Do I have a different front nose installed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!------------------ --Scott D Stock 1986 White GT

Think I should just machine off the 2 posts that do not fit and screw it in place with the 1 main pin? Maybe hot glue to hold it from rotating?
Thanks, --Scott

I'd grind off the third pin at the top (which I've never seen before), and then drill a hole in the nose to accommodate the second alignment pin. That's assuming of course that you aren't able to replace that badge with one which has pins that match your Fiero's nose.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 10-17-2016).]

I have used 3M emblem/trim tape to hold these on before. I would contact the Fiero Store to see what is up. Is your front bumper original, or has it been replaced?

To my knowledge, my bumper has never been replaced. It has the same original paint artifacts as the rest of the car. I contacted the Fiero Store to see what is up. I will post back here when I get an answer. My luck, I have a rare bumper of some sort that was changed during production. Thank you, --Scott

I have ordered two of those and they both had the holes opposite of where mine were. I just drilled another hole.

The team over at the Fiero Store just got back to me and said that GM had a number of different configurations for this. They also said I could just remove the posts that did not fit and install as the nut will hold it in place very tightly. I am going to try this as I am reluctant to drill another hole in my front fascia if I do not need to.
Thanks guys, --Scott

If you worry it may rotate just add a bit of permatex rtv, that could always be removeable without damaging anything if need be, later.

Then keep the car in a garage and the badge covered at all times... and still be mad when it yellows and the surface starts to look like pumpkin skin in two years. So far the two that I have down here in sunny FL look like that. Same thing happens with the "GT" emblem on the back of the car.
