What the heck are these things and where can I get more (Page 1/2)

Looked under the front of my 86 for the first time. 5000 miles after I purchased it. Smart effing move I know. Found these two doodads are either completely rusted through and broken (passenger) and rusted 99% of the way through and will break if I look at them too hard. What the heck are they called and where can I buy more

She's developed a little bit of a heating issues that has not progressed into full on overheating but the situation is devolving (the fan will bring her down too 180) but I shouldn't need the fan on the freeway and for some reason I do now. Found a crushed thermostat in the thermostat housing. (heater core doesn't appear to be plugged since I get great heat) Plus she has that exhaust leak so I have just have tons and tons of fun work ahead of me lol.

Not a good sign. I'm just curious, and forgive me if this has been discussed previously... but have you ever had a look at your upper rear frame rails?

These seem to be one of the easiest parts to rust, even on my CA car they're kinda rough. They were long gone on my IL car.

From the picture, that Fiero Store part doesn't look as strong as the original. Looks like it would bend at the ears and the corner would get progressively weaker.

Damn... good ole' Rodney... he has these too. It's like he has everything to rebuild a Fiero.

Patrick,

I haven't look, and to be 100% honest, I probably wont, cause I am kinda afraid at this point/

Ummm... perhaps not the wisest strategy.

Neither was buying a scrap yard Fiero sight unseen and driving it 30 miles home with no shifter cables. Just trying to stay on brand
