Makes sense because i used this as a lifting lug when hoisting the engine out.

OK so i bent the select cable bracket on the tranny back into alignment, well enough where it goes together. got a beautiful new r. dickman select cable. Going to first and second gear is easy, but going to fifth and reverse, while much better than before still could use some improvement. I read somewhere that cable routing helps a lot. i followed the meisners service bulletins but it didnt specify if the select cable travels over/under the coolant tubes.
In my pic i have the cable going under the 2 smaller coolant tubes (blue) but over the bigger coolant crossover tube (yellow). i also didnt use the hook on the left side of the pic intended for the select cable because it seemed like i didnt have enough length to grab it.
Wondering what other peoples select cable routing looks like?
