i am the original owner. My Fiero has aways been a manual. Where are my pins for backup lights?

Astronomy says we will find a coded signal from outer space. Then we'll KNOW that life exists there, for coded signals aren't by chance.

Biology says there are coded genetic signals in every cell, but we KNOW that no intelligence created life.

I'm the original owner of a white ' 84 2M4 purchased Dec 10, 1983 from Pontiac. Always garaged, no rust, 4-wheel drifts are fun!

This may help you.
This is from the 1984 Factory Service Manual.

Thanks OleJoeDad, it still lists E1 n E2 as the backup lights but then has backup lights at F9 as well. i suspect my backup lights are at F9 and have another ground. Your manual agrees with my car and has a pin at B3 for the charging system.

I wonder if they changed horses (backup lights) in the middle of the stream in 84 - mine is about 25k out of 125k built - so its an early 84

C500 and many others 84 is Way different then all other years.
IOW You can't use pin maps for C500 and others connections from later books or threads.

While working in/on C500 for 84...
Carefully look at pins use by the alt. If even starts see heat or other damage or burning on them, you need to fix it now.
E4 carries a lot of power to rest of car. B3 is Alt "lamp" but you only have resistor or resistor wire in the cabin to turn on the alt in 84 Fiero.
See my Cave, Alternator Sense

Once done, need silicone, brake or "Bulb" grease to keep water out.
"Bulb" grease is available but many stores have it only in small amounts.
"Bulb" grease is close or same as Cosmoline grease and won't melt or wash off easy. (Many in .Mil have nightmare of removing Cosmoline.)
