NO LONGER A FIERO OWNER (Page 2/2)

Sorry to see you go- Glad you enjoyed your small bit of Fierophoria....By the way, one of the things I am (Now) noticing is that my Fiero appears to get LOWER every dang year- Used to just hop in and out of her....But now I have a number of words, grunts and growns that accompany my getting in and crawling out. Soon I may need a cherry picker!

Take care

I've been on this forum a long time and have seen a whole bunch of signed up members here come and go. I would say that this is because part of the fun of owning one is rebuilding/restoring/customizing and driving a Fiero. People have fun with the car then go onto something else just as you have. This is a common occurrence in any hobby. Today the remaining diehards in the Fiero hobby are IMO middle age and senior people but it lives on. Good luck with your future endeavors. It was nice having you with us.

Thanks!!!!! It was nice having you all tolerate me!!!! I am in the Dodge forum too and those guys, to put it mildly, are a bunch of pricks!!!!

My wife can relate!!!! We are both 72, but I am much more limber than she is, her having had a knee and hip replacement. I used to run for 5 miles every day, while I was in the military and for several years once I retired. I think that kept me limber and healthy. That is why I was able to rebuild the car. I need another car to rebuild, since I can't run anymore. I can walk at a brisk pace, but that is boring. Long live the Fiero!!!!!

Just curious! But very thankful that you helped saved a Fiero to get it back on the road and not to a junkyard.

My wife and I are 72. She has had a knee and hip replacement. It was impossible for her to get into and out of it anymore. The people who bought the car loved it. It kind of hurt me to let it go, but I will be rebuilding something soon. You can bet on it!!!

I can relate, but my wife could no longer get into it. It had become impractical for us. My next car will most likely be one of those older American Metal tanks. I am looking...

I can relate. The Triumph GT6 I had prior was worse, used to pivot off my left hand planted on the pavement. My last Fiero I started to do the same. Also, my wife has become an SUV convert and lost the appeal the sports cars can supply.
