I have been playing with lithium battery technology and I am learning.

It's just a matter of knowing what you are doing.

Imagine someone approaching you and saying, "I'm going to get ten gallons of highly flammable liquid and stick it in a machine, with electricity, and heat, and drive it hundred miles an hour around town."

Wrong on many levels...
Gasoline fires can be put out very easy for most things. 99.9+% vehicle fires Will Not Explode no mater how the media shows and morons believe. Unlike LiIon Batteries that Often Does Explode like above and Can't be putout unlit the battery pack is used up.

Drag Race, Tractor Pullers, and some other engine failures can "Explodes" mainly because the Engines use Gallons per Seconds and often dump a Gallon or more of Fuel and Oil on Red Hot parts.

Many fools also point to Pinto explosion but never bother how really happen or only covers 71-72 Pinto.

That, Hover boards, Dell and other Laptops/Tablets, Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 and a lot more are "made by experts" and still cause huge problems.
This is why FAA and DOT and agencies in other countries now have Very Tough Rules how to transport anything w/ LiIon batteries.

Dell Samsung and other have True Experts to design things they sell and still have LiIon battery fires/explosions often because of batteries themselves are "made wrong" even from very good factories own by big players.
