I have the one that Black Top Racing used to sell... It's pink. I like that it's nice and bright but the pinkness of it gives it away as kind of a hack job,

QQ- Can you add a 3rd brake light to an 85 that currently doesn't have one; will it bolt up?

You could add one, OE or aftermarket, but car isn't wired etc for them.
Decades ago some sold a kit for 3rd Brake Light to fit most any car like below but now often have to make something to fit.
This came w/ a "module" to wire to the red taillight direct. Also the Lens is Marked as High Mount Brake to meet USDOT rules w/ DOT/SAE U84 CYCLOPS (U is High Brake, 84 year to meet FMVSS, Cyclops for ID who made. See Cave, Lighbulbs @ bottom) Another version was sold w/o the module for cars w/ amber rear turn lights and was a bit cheaper. (Price is likely 80s to early 90s $ price.)
I found that in a flea market and spent nothing, keep just for showing was a real thing. Was open but only missing vampire taps for wires... (Found those & others parts inside the light fixture later.)
Sold a lot of them for installing in pre-86 cars.
If can't/won't use OE Fiero High Brake unit... Use some other High Brake and wire to brake pedal switch. Often they are LED or use 2 or more small bulbs that won't melt the fixture when stuck in heavy traffic.
E2A--> Cyclops uses 921 Bulb 12v 18w for any might have 1 of this in use. Format sim to 906 in cave lightbulbs.[This message has been edited by theogre (edited 01-11-2024).]
