You could compensate by installing a massive scoop on the hood. Totally useless on a Fiero, but that's besides the point.

I have an 82 Trans Am wing on my Fiero, unfortunately most of the newer pictures are down right now because of the image server issue.

The 93-97 Toyota Corolla spoiler looks very good on the fastback. It's low but because of that, it needs a thick rubber basket underneath each stand to make the ends clear the Fiero body on the ends. I don't know how it would fit or look on a notchback. I'll have to go to another computer to find and post a pic of one.

Go wingless!
My car was built without a wing but a previous owner installed a cheap aftermarket wing on it (and drilled mounting holes in it which were hard to seal adequately). One day I found a perfect wingless decklid in the junkyard (same color even!) and made the switch. I couldn't be more pleased. And even in a gathering of a hundred Fieros it's usually the only GT without a wing.

The OEM wing does drop the coefficient of drag by smoothing airflow off of the back of the car.
It does serve a purpose.

There's also the rare optional wooden wing for those with some good DIY skills...
