Hey cvxjet - your photo looks different than Dorman's 74430 Window Rollers.

What brand and p/n of the rollers you bought?

Thanks guys for the responses and effort.
But, it there a GM replacement than Dorman?
If what someone reported that the Dorman wheel is smaller and the OEM GM part is bigger in diameter, I’d like to trace the stock part / size.
Nothing wrong knowing if the correct “exact” part is still available.

Keep the ideas coming if you have more.

No GM Roller Part Number

These rollers were included in the window regulator assemblies which are discontinued.....

88 Fiero manual window rollers measured OD = 1.083"
Dorman 74430 OD = .95" to .97"

Won't matter. The regulator/lift arms just moves a little more to close the window.

To Vintage-nut,

I guess our best bet is to find good used Fiero specific assemblies or similar assemblies from another GM car in that era to get good used parts…

On my car, there seems to be only one roller that was really bad. The 3 others weren’t that bad.
My point was once it’s apart and takes a lot of work, why not upgrade for a long lasting regulator set up.

That low / high pitch noise on both up and down conditions is a pain. Many Fiero enthusiasts I can garantie would go through this work to not have to go that horrible noise.

We must look stupid in front of everyone saying “ gotta fix that one day”…a day most will admit will never come.

Let's hope so. I was just worried that I would hear the window rattle while driving, so I didn't take the chance.

To me, yes and the Fiero window regulator assemblies are the only options with no interchange or cross-reference.......

All of my regulator sets came out of Fiero's that were not in accidents and were turned into parts cars due to lack of titles, etc. If you are interested I can send you HiRes pix of the regulator sets I presently have, along with the price I'm asking, plus shipping cost. Please email me at LHUBBERT2@BRIGHTHOUSE.COM

Edit to Add:

Searching the forum; it seems that many members replaced the window regulator rivets with (stainless) 1/4" bolts and nylock nuts.
