3800SC A/C Pressures (Page 2/2)

An update, with my current compensating valve I got 32F at the center vent with 75F ambient temp this morning. It still struggles mid-day with 95F ambient temp but I’m not sure I want to replace that valve now. The ac seems ok even if it’s not the best.

I’d have to get the refrigerant reclaimed and a YouTube video I watched last night showed them sucking out 1oz of oil with the r134. Is this true? Everything I’ve read so far said the oil stays and doesn’t need topped off with the refill?

Must agree with jelly2m8 that its a better way to go. My 3800SC swap blows ice cold. I just could not justify using a R12 compressor/system on a new engine swap but you say the compressor is new so who knows?
Your pressure readings for R134 are way off. Three full cans of R-134 is also overloading the system .

From what I understand all new compressors are made for r134? I bought this new off RockAuto I’m not using the ancient 1 that was on the car.

It's possible, if you pull an ounce of oil out, put an ounce back in.
