your fiero should lock up the tires with ease if its working right. i know our 84, 87 and 88 all do it with stock brakes and the cheapest pad (semi Metallics or regular Metallics in this case.)cold or even when the brakes are hot enough to start smoking
do remember a brake locked up doesnt stop any better though. you want to be just before the limit of the tire and any pad or brake for the fiero will do it.
for spirited street driving 85gt is right to suggest a semi metallic or less. if your doing 60-0 over and over more than 5x in a row maybe it's time to think about what street driving means truly (and a brake caliper and rotor upgrade.)

I guess after it was explained I'm looking for good cold bite. But I would still like something that holds up to a little heat. Any brand suggestions?

Yellow Stuff. They work great under all conditions.
