So its fixed then right, it must have been the IAC?

IMO, the most common reason for a rich running condition is an exhaust leak upstream of the O2 sensor. This will allow O2 into the exhaust, fooling the O2 sensor into thinking that the engine is running lean. So the ECM richens the mixture.

MANY cars of this age have exhaust leaks. In fact, I find it rare to come across a 25+ yr car that doesn't have an exhaust leak, unless it's been restored. Mine had cracked manifolds, so I had a leak. I replaced the manifolds and gaskets, and it no longer has that raspy exhaust leak sound.

Hi guys!

So finally had some time this weekend, so decided to check my injectors!!

Started like this....

End up like this, after dealing with the "might as well" syndrom!!!!

And here is a pic of my injectors! All pintles are cracked or broken! What do you think??

Car is now having some refresh for the winter!
New paint for plenum/valve covers/ intake...
New vacuum lines from Rodney!
New spark plugs, O2 Sensor....
Will lyk!

Might want to look at that distributor too, pretty rusty.

How could that happen? even if they all looked fine, you should have them flow-tested to see if they are leaking. As it is, they probably all should be replaced. You can send them to a rebuilder here in the states, and they may have replacements. I don't know if those injectors were ever used in Europe.

A those injector cracks and breakages from removal? Due to old brittle plastic?

Compared to what I've dealt with, the rust on that distributor is nothing. Perhaps it looks bad, but it doesn't impair proper operation. (Obviously, components such as the ICM and pick-up coil need to be functional.)

I have a similar idle fluctuation, but it's not high, stays right around 900. Just last week I replaced the injectors and fuel pressure regulator since I also had a bad leakdown test. But I also had a hard start when warm problem. If you don't have a hard start when warm, wouldn't that indicate a bad check valve at the fuel pump, not leaky injectors? My new injectors fixed the hard start problem, but not the idle hunting. Very interested in seeing your results.
