Research for the LF3/LF4 swap (Page 1/1) ISE5150 SEP 27, 11:05 AM Long time member, first time post. I'm starting research for the LF3/4 swap and the post is for info anyone can provide for such a project, primarily the transaxle. I've got my list of what I need with the engine itself (ECM, MIC, OBD-II, gas pedal/electronic throttle control, cruise control and the wiring) I know the Cadillac CTS/ATS-V both came with "optional" manual transmissions so this will be the ECM I'm looking for, everything comes down to the transmission itself. First, the bolt pattern for the bellhousing on both LF3 and LF4. Second, anyone that can narrow down the list of manual transaxles that will mate to it. I can do the research once I know what will bolt together for the best set up for what I want to achieve. Third, anyone that has a list of manufactures that I can research that build "plates" to allow an "odd" bolt pattern match the engine bolt pattern. All kidding aside, from everything I've ever read, that will be the correct trans. Try shooting a PM to mweldon on this forum. He's doing (done?) the same swap. He was quite far along in the process.
