Lace wheel sizes (Page 1/1)

I've searched and found conflicting info.

Are the '88 front lace wheels 15x7, and close enough in offset, that I could use them on all four corners of my '87?

Talking about these:

I'm weighing the options of painting mine or just swapping wheels if the '88's will fit.

The 88 front lace wheels are 15x6, they don't have the lip the 15x7 wheels have, it's real obvious when comparing them.

Why not use two 88 fronts, and two of your 86-87 wheels to build yourself a staggered set?

Car's got four 15x7's now. Are 15x6's up front gonna make a difference?

I think I'm opening a can of worms...

Not very much difference, but staggered wheel widths to match staggered tire widths makes sense in my mind.

Also the 88 fronts are set slightly inboard, so you'll reduce scrub radius, and the feeling of steering kickback when you hit bumps.

If you're going to change something, going with the holy grail 88 GT/Formula spec seems like a good plan. These Fieros were considered the best ones to have.

It's just an idea I'm throwing out there.
