Brake master cylinder (Page 1/1)

I just bought an ‘85 fiero 2M4 Sport a couple weeks ago. It seemed like it needed front pads replaced, but they looked fine. But when I checked the brake fluid it was pretty dark like it was the original fluid. Now when I to the cap off the master cylinder the rubber seal looked a little deformed on the front edge of the seal. I’m sure I need to have the brake system flushed. But when I put the cap back on and pumped the brakes I could see the brake fluid bubbling. Could it be that I’m not getting a good seal around the cap or could it be something a little deeper? Now when I do pump the brakes several times the pedal does become firmer and I kind of stop seeing bubbles. Please help!!!
Thanks!

Install new MC and Didn't bench bleed it? Good luck getting air out.
See my Cave, Brake Service and rest of section.

Might be able to jack the rear so MC is level to a bit nose down but don't count on that.

⚠️ Warning: Rear port of MC can, most often will, "shoot fluid" even if working 100%. Is make to do this. Always keep cover on the tank.

MC Cover "rubber" is bad? Get new from Dorman, buy/order at most local part stores.
Iffy Cover seal will make many problems. See fluid page in cave.

But note that Even after flush, new fluid can get dark fast as finds more crap.
