Weird thing- stopped to get gas, noticed when I slammed driver side door, sounded different (could be irrelevant)... got gas, turned key... nothing. I have radio, power windows, but turn ignition... nothing. Any ideas?

Sounds like the start safety switch is engaged.

Not knowing if your Fiero was a manual or an automatic, I figured "start safety switch" would cover all bases.
