AC Lines (Page 1/1)

So like many people this time of year I start wishing my Fiero had AC. Unfortunately for me somebody dropped the rear cradle without paying attention to the AC and fractured the AC muffler assembly and the assembly that connects to the chassis.

Finding a replacement has not been easy. I still have a pm out to a member who builds lines. However while digging around trying to find replacements i ran across this https://youtu.be/kBWS8SCOLDo?t=85 seems to me like i could probably get an AC line that fits the compressor and as long as the rubber hose is long enough cut out the bracket on the chassis and splice the rubber right in.

Anyone think about or do this before?

I think this would require a AirSept 76705 Smart Splice 3/4" Line to #12 Hose and a AirSept 76701 Smart Splice 1/2" Line to #8 Hose Straight A/C Connector plus a new compressor/muffler connector and hose from a different v5 model car (yes im 2.5 l4) probably all of this will still run around $100 but as the parts get harder to find it may be an option.

I tried those to fix my undercar lines, they may work in *perfect* conditions, in the middle of a long straight line, but the two I tried leaked the moment the car moved.
