LS4, 4T65e separation question. (Page 1/1)

I pulled another LS4 with trans and am having issues separating the trans from the engine. Removed the cross over pipe and got those bolts. Got all visible bolts down to the starter (starter still in place), then used a long extension to remove the one deep inside down in the rear side. At that point I tried the pry bar but no good. What is left? Ran out of light but there is a mount on the rear side below the exhaust manifold. Does it have to come off or just unbolt the trans?

Thank you for any info.

Often 2 tran's bell bolts go thru 2 Alignment "dowels" that can hold tight as bolts then get corroded a little.
These are the real alignment parts to interface engine to trans case.

usually 6 bell bolts, dowels on wide bolts not top bolts.

I can see the rear side dowel and there's no bolt through it.Engine isn't that dirty. But it seems there would be another bolt on the rear somewhere.

There are only 5 bolts on the bellhousing, but there is the bracket between the transmission differential and side of the LS4 block.

Ok, that's where I stopped I believe, after seeing what appeared to be a mount.
