In using the F40/LS4 combination, if one were to use a commercially available stroker crank, does the stroker crankshaft need to be modified for fitment? I understand the snout and the hub on the LS4 are shorter than the other LS crankshafts.

I would assume that the company you are purchasing from already has everything figured out in the kit. I did a quick search and it did not say anything otherwise on the stroker kits.

IOW, if there are LS4-specific stroker cranks, use one.
