I am rebuilding the exhaust on my 87 3800, and the tightest bend I could find puts my muffler hanging about 1-2 inches below the rear bar of the cradle. Is this going to be an issue? I don't want my muffler to get ripped off..

The standard procedure here is to take the tightest U bend that can be found. In the middle of the bend cut out about 1/2" and weld ithe two pieces back together. That will provide very tight head pipe to muffler clearance. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
