connecting ebrake cable (Page 1/1)

First, thanks to everyone who helped with good info and tips for putting back the ebrake system a PO destroyed. Just wanted to pass along a tip I used to make the final connection. I used some big C clamps to compress the springs to get enough slack to screw the driver side cable into the equalizer. Then backed the nut off a few turns after removing the clamps to free the brakes and get a nice tight adjustment on the handle after a few clicks. I still can't find the Indy badge for the steering wheel. Rarer than a virgin on prom night.

The Levels at the calipers Must return to the stop built into the caliper after any cable work.
If they don't, you will have brake problems.

Thanks for the tip. Everything seems to be in place and working. I'll go back in a few days and look just to be sure. I want to clean up the frame a little more and put some undercoating inside and out before I put the skirt back on for good. Today it's front wheel bearings and bleed the lines. Salud!
