Good Afternoon, All,

Well on to today's dumb question:

Can the front hub of an '88 be adapted for use as the rear hub?

The reason for the question is simply that Rodney's rebuildable front hubs are large enough to drill to 4.75.

Seems unlikely, but I could not find an answer on my Forum searches.

Anyone of you experts know the answer?

front hub has bearings, rear hub is splined, right ?

88 Front wheel bearings:


84-87 Rear wheel bearings:


Besides the obvious issue with installing the CV splined shaft, the bearing bores and bolt patterns to the knuckles are also different with the fronts being smaller than the rears.
