Clutch master weirdness (Page 1/1)

I'm seem to be having an issue with a very annoying clutch pedal...? I have an '84 SE that I was told when I got it needed a master cylinder- I changed the one in it (the rod broke in half for the previous owner, which had left it sitting for >20 years) out for one he gave me with the sale of the car... which didn't fit onto the clutch pedal. I then got a clutch master cylinder from my local pick n pull from an '84 fiero, like mine... which also didn't fit. My fiero's pedal has the raised part that the rod goes onto, much like the one on the pedal of the fiero at the pick n pull, so it should work, but it doesn't fit. I then attempted to get the clutch pedal from the fiero in the pick n pull. Using the socket on one of the 15mm bolts (the one holding the rod connecting the clutch and brake pedals) in that cramped space, it felt like it was coming out- it took the jerk to get it moving and all that, but then no matter how much ratcheting I did, the bolt wouldn't move,I could feel the resistance like it was turning and coming out, but when I looked it clearly wasn't coming out of the thread, it was bizzare! I'm really passionate about these cars, but it feels like I am repeatedly running into a brick wall with this clutch! Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Sorry if it is spammy, but I think this is a separate issue, more about the pedal-pushrod compatibility than finding the bolts. Is there a way to take it down?
