This is what left of the connector. It is part of a 1985 engine harness. I have looked at several wiring diagrams and none of them show the wires that make any sense. The connector has a green wire and a green with white wire going to it. It is broken of course so it is difficult to identify what it will fit on.

Broken temp sender for gauge/light on dash I think. Other half in in/on the head or intake depending on engine type. Just short to ground either/both to check.
Senders are pipe threaded. don't force new one tight.
