Oil pressure drops when turning (Page 1/1)

I have an 86 GT, and, when making a turn (I only noticed it on right hand turns) my oil pressure drops. It has only gotten low enough to turn the oil pressure light on once though. For it to happen, I really have to give it the beans around the corner. I read another forum post about the same issue I'm having, but there wasn't a clear consensus on what the issue most likely is.

Sounds like perhaps the oil pump pickup is sucking air while the car is quickly turning a sharp corner, because of the oil in the pan sloshing away from the pickup. It could possibly be worse in one direction than the other due to pickup location within the pan.

Is the crankcase oil level up to the FULL mark on the dipstick?

I've had this happen before... You're probably just low on oil. Check and top it off.
