Right here goes - I am going to get my 87 gt fiero back on the road after moving house and everything has been packed up for the last 3-4 years- so I am going to do an oil change with all the classifications that come with oil nowadays I was looking at using this fully synthetic 5w40 oil https://www.shell.co.uk/mot...synthetic-5w-30.html which has the API SL/CF classification. Will this be ok to use ? Jon Gall757 NOV 19, 06:21 PM The 2.8 V6 is not fussy about what brand of oil you use, but the newer formula oils may leak a bit more than the dinosaur stuff. jon m NOV 21, 05:14 AM Thank you Gall. This is interesting I used to put 10w40 in with no leeks and when I was at my old house I had some valvoline fully synthetic 5w40 oil that I put in the engine and my 5sp getrag and leeks started showing up. I may switch back to 10w40 Jon
