3800 SC Wiring Harness - Makeover... It was time. (Page 1/1)

It has been several YEARS since I first did the 3800 SC swap - with tons of help from PFF!

Now, my SC 3800 Fiero is crying for an engine compartment makeover - she is tired of just looking .... blah...

I started by tidying up the wiring harness (it was a disaster) by removing unnecessary wires, re-routing others to more efficient paths, and of course wrapping them with something other than that standard GM wiring loom used for decades. Come take a look!

I did my 3800SC wiring the same way by retaining the GTP power center and locating it where the battery once stood. The PCM sits in the back of the drivers seat. Doing it this way only requires making a few connections. The A/C, fuel pump and cooling fan relays now sit on the new power center. Its a simple way of wiring the 3800 and if done right it looks fairly neat.

We need a large National Fiero Engine Swap car show. I would love to look (first hand) at how everyone has done their swaps.

So much to learn & more than one way to skin a cat!!

I would absolutely attend this! My hope is that it would be somewhere centrally located rather than in the eastern US as it seems a lot of the big shows are.

The 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th Fiero shows were exactly that... along with the stockers.
The HRPT is also a great way to see swaps of all kinds in lots of different vehicles.
