86 GT. My "service engine soon" light has come on a couple times after driving at highway speeds for 10 to 15 minutes. Goes off again when I shut off the engine and doesn't come again until driving highway speeds again. So I went to check the code through the ALDL connector, and...nothing was there? Could this have been relocated? Everything is running fine so I'm hoping it's just a "welcome new Fiero owner" 12 code. I appreciate any help! And sorry if I'm missing something super obvious.

Well.. go find it!
Id pull the armrest/glovebox/center console/ecu cover there (4 bolts not counting the 4 bolts under the ashtrays to get the shift bezel out of the way to get to the front 2 bolts) probably tucked back by the ecu.

Ha ha okay I'll go hunting! I wouldn't mind seeing what condition everything is in under there anyway. Thanks!

Expand your "hunt" down into the shifter area... and retire on the spare change you'll find.

No no you gotta pull the seats for the retirement fund. Ashtrays are simply the vacation home in Aspen.

Found it! After taking apart the center console, I found it hiding out behind the driver's seat! For anyone interested, it's just a 32 code, which sounds like it's common and not a big deal. Car passes emissions (at least last time it was registered).
