I just got my 1984 Fiero's 'duke going again yesterday after 23 years sitting under a tree, it was amazing to finally hear that engine! I had done an oil change, got a new battery, fixed some vaccum lines, did a fuel pump change, fuel filter change... and primed the engine before starting it, and it started right up! Now I am more focused on getting it running well. The idle was very steady, but a bit on the high end, around 2500 rpm. I'm just wondering what you guys think should be done with it now to improve the reliability. I have heard coolant temp sensor is a good idea, but for something that has been sitting this long I'm not sure what else it would need. Thanks! Coolant flush Brake line flush Clutch slave flush/ATF flush depending on trans Replace rubber vac lines they are probably causing high idle.

Only in California would you be this lucky. 23 years under a tree and you will probably tell us it has no rust....
