I got a friend I’m trying to help with a 1988 fiero se 2.5 After Replacing fuel pump and the clutch safety switch we are now stuck at the fuel injector we’re getting power to the fuel injector but it is not pulsing I believe that the ECM send a ground signal to make a pulse ,my question is what triggers the ECM to get that signal to pulse the injector Some kind of crank , cam sensor

ECM switches TBI to ground to turn on. TBI Has Power all day w/ key on.
ECM need to see DIS working before "send" injector "signal." See my Cave, DIS Ignition and Ground "Myth" notes
ECM may see that and still won't run injector because ECM is "dead." Example: A crack solder joint to injector driver circuit can fail to turn on injector but ECM seems work normal otherwise.
If ECM "dead" then save PROM in it for new ECM. Edit> and See my Cave, ECM Heat

It might be that the injector is stuck closed. Have your friend crank the car while you tap the injector body with the handle of a screw driver to see if that helps.

Possibly but very unlikely w/ 700 series TBI that 87+ Dukes have. See my Cave, 700 TBI
