I got a new timing cover and when comparing it to the old timing cover, I noticed a spot that doesn't have a screw hole.
I am wondering if this is something I need to put in myself? If so, does anyone know or recommend what I should do here?

Thank you!

Rotate engine to TDC compression #1
Install timing chain cover on engine
Using the one screw hole that is present, attach your graduated timing scale to the timing chain cover. I suggest a normal flanged-head bolt, and not the tamper-proof rubbish...
Position the scale such that its 0° mark is aligned with the notch on the harmonic balancer.
With the scale in a suitable place (hopefully with its screw hole over the aluminium boss), punch the hole position onto the timing chain cover.
Remove timing scale
Drill for M6 tap (I think that's the size). Study the timing chain cover beforehand to know how deep you can drill.
Countersink to 6 mm dia (slightly larger than thread OD)
Taper tap the threads
Bottom tap the threads
Clean holes, reinstall scale aligned with harmonic balancer. Use blue Loctite on the bolt threads.
