Astronomy says we will find a coded signal from outer space. Then we'll KNOW that life exists there, for coded signals aren't by chance.

Biology says there are coded genetic signals in every cell, but we KNOW that no intelligence created life.

Look along the side of the connector body, there is a fork or brush like section that pushed in and locks the pins into place. You need to remove this piece to remove the pins. Sorry, I don't have a good picture handy.

To expand on that, there's a "terminal position assurance" device installed in the connector. On the ones I've seen it's white while the connector body is black. You need to get a probe behind it and pry it out far enough to grab it, then pull it the rest of the way out. It has long slender tines that go all the way through the connector blocking the pins from coming out. Once that's out, then use your terminal tools to release the terminal clips and the terminals should come right out.

OK, i found it, its on the end. But be really careful pulling it out, work it in four places with a knife blade and be careful it breaks easily.

Your first photo, there is a sliver of white showing on the top left of the block. That piece of plastic come out with some gentle prying. Be careful not to break it.

Here is a video to what we are talking about. About halfway thru he shows what to do. Fiero C500

Body Side TPA shown here...
See my Cave, Terminal Access

other side is similar once wire cover/guard is off. I think.

Pins Won't move w/o TPA remove first.

This might help as far as removing the wires/connectors themselves from the block goes, relevant stuff starts around 1:20

Thanks guys. Another problem has arisen with my C500 - my pins are not the same as what Cows Patoot posted here:

http://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...160323-2-121625.html

This is what my Fiero has (colors are approximate cuz of the dirty aged wiring.....purple looks like pink or tan, pink looks like tan, blue looks like green etc...)

This is what Cows Patoot posted:

and in graphic form:

How am i to deal with My Fiero not having an E1, E2 and B2 and having B3 instead????

My Fiero has standard tranny, AC, and is a California car.

the C500 differs from Auto to Manual. Manual the E2 pin is the starter and is pink. auto A4 pin is the starter and is yellow. it goes to the tranny then from the tranny its pink to the starter. E1 is only used for 4spd.

If the car was originally an auto its a good chance you are now using a4 as your pin for your starter on your manual unless someone swapped out the other side of the harness.
