I’ve got a 1984 SE with a 4spd trans in it. This is my first fiero and I do not have enough experience to figure this out. I’m not sure if it is something i did. i test drove the car a few days ago and parked it in my garage. it’s on jackstands now and when in neutral, the wheels still spin. reverse works and every other gear works. just not neutral. any ideas?

With the engine running and the transmission in neutral, does the engine stall with the brakes applied? No... then it's fine.

A word of caution. If you have the rear on jack stands and you're putting it in gear and running it, you stand a chance of damaging your drive axels if you don't have it supported by the lower control arm, instead of the cradle or frame.

Absolutely a concern but at the very least you could tear the CV axle boots apart.
