85 GT Brake lines (Page 1/1)

Hi,

I ordered stainless steel brake lines from the Fiero store a few months ago and finally got around to removing the old brake lines. Since I had brand new ones I cut the old ones to make it easier to remove them. However I cannot match the new ones with the old ones. They all seem completely different. Do I need to do a lot of the bending myself (I know they are easy to buckle when bending) or is this the wrong set? Does anyone have experience with this?

Some of the bends are made so they'll fit in a shipping box (like that large radius bend in the long line). Start with the small lines (brake master cylinder, driver front, rear, passenger rear). At least on the 84 kit they bends were about 90% similar to the original lines.

Thanks, ordered a tube bender. Worst case scenario I will just completely redo the bends.

Mystery solved. I found a small piece of paper stuck between the folds of the box. It turns out the brake line kit was for a 1940 Chevy instead of for a Fiero. Contacted the Fiero store and they were great with the customer service. I now have a correct set so can go forward with the project.
