Just brough back an 87 GT T-top car thats been sitting for my best guess 8 plus years. Previous owner bought it from the original owner and took it straight to the mechanic. His mechanic did a new Distributor, tires and oil change. Then realized the tank was rotted. I replaced the Fuel Lines, Gas Tank, Fuel Pump, and Filter. Changed Plug Wires (not plugs yet I did pull 2 and they appear fine). Then proceeded to fire it up. It ran for a minute or two then procced to stall out. It idled as if it had a misfire. When attempting to restart it cranked a bit and then fired up (Appears to fire up easier with the throttle open). I can idle the car by hand but it will not idle on its own. I have two assumptions one I assume I trouble shot but I am not sure. Theory one is timing is a good bit out. Seeing as it hard cranks when it gets warmed up a bit I believe it may be off from the distributor replacement. Theory 2 which I semi tested is a clogged Cag / Exhaust. I do have decent flow when revving the car and honestly sounds clean when revving only at low rpm does it have a miss. To test the clogged cat theory I pulled the o2 Sensor and it idled a tad bit longer the before but still stalled out. Before getting this thing timed is there anything obvious I am missing? I don't hear any vacuum leaks and other than spark and air I have cleared the fuel issue.
LONG STORY SHORT:
Long term parked car doesn't idle. New Distributor, Fuel lines / Filter / Pump. Has a slight miss and stall as it gets warmer. Anything Obvious I am missing other than Timing?

Advanced timing that starts hard will usually idle ok unless you're WAY off.
Clogged injectors or stuck IAC valve? Both can get gunked up with time.

Didn't think about injectors but did think about IAC. I haven't cleaned the port but did cover the IAC port when starting and it kills the motor.
