Turn Signal problem + other issue (Page 1/1)

Chasing a ghost..... second gen headlight harness and motors 87-88... Right turn blinker light and all bulbs function as they should until the headlights are turned on. When the lights , headlights or just parking are on the indicator arrow glows dimly and the turn signal will not blink. No issues on the left (drivers side). I don't know if it's related but the right side headlight motor has also ceased to function. I tested the light by moving it to and plugging it in in the other side. It will lift just fine. So, where do I look? Module, Headlight Switch, or should I contact Ghost Nation.

Thanks

At minimum, Front park/turn bulb has ground problems.

Thank you Ogre. I'll give it a look and report back.

Reporting back............A trip to the Pick And Pull resulted in a haul of two modules. One from a Firebird on from a c4 corvette. The bird was junk but the c4 fixed the 'dead' side and now both open and close as they should. Was good to only spend $9.00 instead of the $350.00 to $650.00 advertised to purchase new.

Ogre, you were spot on. The bulb had a ground short. Replaced and the green ghost on the dash board turn indicator is gone. Thank you.

Depending is completely dead or not... bird unit maybe dif PN and need wire changes.
Your old unit may have crank solder on big 4 way & 5 way pins. If True, can be fix and have a spare.

Motor maybe iffy even still work now w/ replacement module.
When they dies... just replace w/ new from Cardone, AZ, w/ warranty or try ebay for same but little to 0 warranty.

Check taillights too soon. more so w/ notch back cars because can do what's covered on same page.
Notch back taillight are easy to see this when you watch actual bulbs. IE need to pull the taillights.
Depending on Flasher, may blink or not when taillight have ground problems but Taillight won't light up right for brake or turn.
