Battery won't hold a charge (Page 1/1)

So, I had to replace the ole fuel pump the other day. Recently replaced a squeaky serpentine belt that wasn't letting the alternator charge the battery resulting in the car dying after just a few miles. Got this replaced and the battery sat past 13 volts consistently until recently when I disconnected it to replace the fuel pump.

However, we ended up wanting to replace the fuel pump at a different location, so I reattached the battery and we were on our merry way. After starting her up and heading to the new location, I noticed that the battery was just barely past the red and declined throughout the trip. Once we got there, I turned the car off and tried restarting her to depressurize the fuel system. Battery was dead. Not even a jump got her on, just had to wait it out.

So it has to be how I reattached the battery, right? I noticed the positive side of the battery has some kind've assembly you have to put together through the bolt. Does this go in any particular order? Could it be something with the way I'm reattaching the negative charge? Both are on extremely tight to no avail.

Just wanted to confirm, this all started after I took the battery out and put it back in 10 minutes later. Drove around with it and it was constantly dying. Battery was fine when it was attached before by the mechanics that put the serpentine belt on.

What's wrong with my Fiero? Can someone send me pics and specifics on how exactly you have the bolt assembly for the positive charge? All parts are on and tight, but nothing works.
