Fiero Fuel Leak - diagnosis, tank removal & repair. (Page 1/1)

Our Fieros are getting up there in age.

Unfortunately, fuel leaks are not uncommon. Last week I had one and (as you should) I jumped on fixing it immediately. My fuel system leaves a lot to be desired but the important thing is you are aware and ready to pounce if you ever see or smell a fuel leak in your Fiero - or you could have a very bad day.

My fuel system needs to be improved for sure. You should make sure yours is better! Constructive comments and practical upgrade solutions are encouraged.

I had a fuel line leak on my 1988 Mera due to cracked hose. Replaced entire rubber fuel lines with new high pressure fuel injector hose from auto parts store and bought fuel injection line clamps from Amazon and used 2 per connection. Best product is cheap insurance against a fuel leak turned fire.
