Does anybody see a problem with removing the big “washer” at the rear portion of the cradle ? It looks like it’s tack welded on and rust has pushed it all over.. the rest of the cradle is in pretty good shape. Thanks for all the help

You cut the welds then check just what is rusted... You have to fix the cradle side then weld new "washers" so metal is right thickness and strong there.
If cradle side is too thin or worse then have hard time to fix. Likely other spots are weak too like where the CA's mounts.
