I'm right in the middle of reinstalling my DS door handle after disassembling it last year but cannot remember for the life of me which rod this clip snaps onto:

Also looks like the little plastic shaft could go through the hole on the handle itself 2 different ways but unsure which way. I know these aren't the best pics, but If anyone has any better pics of this for installation points I'd appreciate it.

That clip attaches the rod for the latch to the outside door handle. I had to put it into the door handle first, then snap the rod into it (took some real creative vocabulary to get it together). Ogre is right about Dorman; I bought a assortment of about 8 clips that included them. I'm not sure whether you can buy just the ones you need separately. Also, on my '88 GT at least, the ones for the right and left doors were not the same. They are mirror images of each other.
